National Volunteer Week | 10-16 May 2010

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our communities and to say thank-you to the more than 5 million Australians who volunteer.

Loud Shirt Day | 14 May 2010

Loud Shirt Day is a great way to throw off the usual dress code in your office or school and get loud for one day a year. Participants drag out their craziest shirts, socks, scarves or any other "LOUD" fashion statement. Everyone who participates makes a donation (anything over $2 is fully tax deductible) and all money raised will help deaf children throughout Australia learn to listen and to speak.

National Tree Day | 1 August 2010

National Tree Day is Australia's biggest community tree-planting event. Last year over 312,000 people, including 229,000 children dug deep to improve their natural surroundings. Tree Day shows children how fun and easy it is to help our environment.

Daffodil Day | 27 August 2010

Established as an Australia-wide event in 1992, Daffodil Day has become the largest fundraising event of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Cancer Council now raises around $8 million each Daffodil Day, providing vital funds for research, education and support services for those touched by cancer.
